CSU Dominguez Hills

California State University, Dominguez Hills has been one of the long-time and leading educational partners to Millennium Momentum Foundation, and currently provides its extensive campus facilities, lecture halls, classrooms, and more to annually support the MMF Leadership Development Institute as the host university in Carson, California. The university has also played a monumental role in helping to provide invaluable expertise and resources at the policy level by having its President, Dr. Mildred Garcia, serve as one of the National Co-Chairs of the MMF Leadership Development Institute, the university's VP of Advancement, Greg Saks to serve on the MMF National Advisory Board to help with mapping out strategies for National expansion, and has Public Administration faculty to serve on the MMF Governing Board of Directors to help ensure solid agency operations and oversight.

The USC School of Public Policy has been an ongoing partner with Millennium Momentum Foundation, Inc., since inception, matching MMF scholarships to benefit need-based students seeking careers in public policy. In addition to also helping to promote MMF activities and resources at its university, SPPD also has representation on the MMF National Education Advisory Board to provide strategic advise on short-term and long-term issues impacting MMF's ability to expand and sustain its service delivery nationally.

The mission of the USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development (SPPD) is to improve the quality of life for people and their communities, here and abroad.

We achieve this mission through education and research that promote innovative solutions to the most critical issues facing society.

The five master's level programs - in Public Policy, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Real Estate Development and Health Policy and Management - join theory with practice and emphasize experiential and professional learning. The doctoral programs allow a select group of students to work closely with faculty on important areas of research and scholarly inquiry. Graduate-level students at SPPD have considerable latitude to design their own programs in order to pursue their specialized areas of interest and further their professional development. Undergraduates pursue the Bachelor of Science in Public Policy, Management, and Planning, which builds on a well-rounded liberal arts core with classes and practical training in policy, management, and planning in preparation for either graduate school or the job market. For mid-career professionals, SPPD offers the Executive Master of Health Administration, the Executive Master of Leadership, and the International Public Policy and Management program.

In today's world of dynamic change and globalization, social challenges have become increasingly complex. Solving society's most pressing issues - including sustainability and the environment, healthcare reform, immigration, infrastructure, urban development, social planning and policy, affordable housing and governance - now requires innovation and collaboration. These issues call for leaders who are able to move beyond their areas of expertise and work across the public, private and nonprofit sectors to find vital solutions.

Through its interdisciplinary approach, SPPD educates students to serve as innovators - and leaders - in their field. Pepperdine University is an independent, medium-sized university enrolling approximately 7,600 students in five colleges and schools. Seaver College, the School of Law, the Graduate School of Education and Psychology, the Graziadio School of Business and Management, and the School of Public Policy are located on the University's 830-acre campus overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu. Courses are taught in Malibu, at six graduate campuses in Southern California, and at international campuses in Germany, England, Italy, and Argentina.

The University was founded in 1937 by George Pepperdine, a Christian businessman who founded the Western Auto Supply Company. For the first 30 years of its life, the institution was a small, mostly undergraduate college. University status was achieved in 1970 as the institution added graduate and professional schools. In 1972, the University opened its new campus in Malibu. Pepperdine University is religiously affiliated with the Churches of Christ, of which Mr. Pepperdine was a lifelong member. Faculty, administrators and members of the Board of Regents represent many religious backgrounds, and students of all races and faiths are welcomed. The School of Public Policy enrolls approximately 100 students and offers a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree built on a distinctive philosophy of nurturing leaders to use the tools of analysis and policy design to effect successful implementation and real change. This requires critical insights balanced with personal moral certainties that only a broad exposure to great ideas, courageous thinkers, and extraordinary leaders can encourage. It prepares graduates for careers as leaders and seeks also to strengthen the institutions which lie between the federal government and the individual, including the family, religious organizations, volunteer associations, local and regional government, and nonprofit organizations. Joint degree programs include the MPP/JD degree and the MPP/MDR degree in conjunction with the School of Law and the MPP/MBA degree in conjunction with the Graziadio School of Business and Management. The Davenport Institute, the research and special program division of the School of Public Policy, is dedicated to addressing current issues through major conferences, seminars, and published research.

Loyola Marymount University has been extensively engaged in supporting the efforts of Millennium Momentum Foundation, Inc., both on its campus and in the communities served by the University. The university funds students annually seeking to enroll in the MMF State-of-the-Art Leadership Development Institute to receive pivotal leadership and employment skills training, along with professional support services as they prepare to transition from the completing their academic objectives to matriculating into the workplace. In addition, the university promotes the MMF Best & Brightest scholarship program throughout the university to ensure LMU students can take full advantage of this significant financial aid resource. The University also has staff representation on the Governing Board of Directors of Millennium Momentum Foundation, Inc. to help ensure solid agency operations and oversight.
